Too big for one screenshot? Take a few.

Scroll, pan or zoom between shots. Snipette lines them up and joins them into one image, in any app.

What Windows shows on first start

Whatever is on your screen, it joins up

  • Works with any app

Snipette matches what it sees, not how the page was built. No browser extension, no plug-in, no special support from the app. Scroll, pan or move windows however you like.

    • Web pages
    • PDFs
    • Excel
    • Maps
    • Chats
    • Code
  • Zoomed in or out, it still lines up

Took one shot zoomed out and the next zoomed in? Snipette lines up shots of PDFs, images and maps taken at different zoom levels. Closer shots are scaled down to fit, so nothing in the result is stretched.

  • Free. Offline. No account.

No sign-up, no ads, nothing collected. Your screenshots never leave your PC. The only time Snipette goes online is to check GitHub for updates, and you can turn that off.

And the details

  • What you see is what you save. The preview is the exact image you get. Keep everything, or crop to the largest rectangle with no gaps.
  • Save or paste. Save as PNG or JPEG, or copy it straight into your document, chat or ticket.
  • All your monitors. Select across every screen at once.
  • No admin rights. Installs for your user account and keeps itself up to date.

Three steps, no gluing by hand

  1. Take a shot

Click + New shot and drag over the part of the screen you want.

  2. Scroll, take the next one

Scroll, pan or zoom so the next shot overlaps the last. It lines up as soon as you take it.

  3. Save or copy

Press Ctrl+S to save, or copy the image and paste it where you need it.

What it can’t do (yet)

Snipette matches pictures, so a few things trip it up. Better you hear it here.

Why won’t shots of a page zoomed with Ctrl + in the browser line up?

Browser zoom and text zoom in editors don’t magnify the page, they lay the text out again: lines break in different places, so the shots no longer match. Use zoom that enlarges the picture instead, as in PDF viewers, image viewers and maps.

Why does a sticky header appear several times?

Headers, toolbars and scrollbars that stay put while you scroll are in every shot, so they repeat in the result. Select only the part of the window that scrolls.

Why is a video black, or the colours washed out?

Protected video, such as most streaming services, captures as a black area. On HDR screens captures can look washed out. The Windows Snipping Tool behaves the same way.

What if a shot doesn’t line up?

Snipette marks it “not matched” and leaves it out of the image instead of guessing. Remove it, or take a new shot that overlaps more with the others.

Will it run on my work PC?

It needs no admin rights: it installs for your user account only. On Windows 11 PCs where Smart App Control is on, Windows blocks it (see below). Your company’s IT rules may also block programs that are not code-signed.
